My first fan art of a guild wars character. The Ritualist. A powerful character, IMO. Sadly, my main is a monk. I never did get the hand on how to use a ritualist properly.

One of the professions that will be missed on Guild Wars 2.

Nice work. I'll miss the ritualists in Guild War 2 but I never got mine to be as good as my monk at support in Guild Wars.

My paragon too, so much easier than the casters I tried it on. Although now I have three thanks to the update that lets you get it between deaths. Hopefully the warrior and guardian will fill those roles with the right builds. What do you plan to play?

Since there's no monk anymore, I'm actually torn. I've been a healer class most of my MMO career. I am curious on the new professions but after I got bored waiting for GW2 after a few years of playing the first, I played a draenei Shaman in World of Warcraft. I guess, I might end up as an Elementalist in GW2.

Elementalist, guardian, and engineer all seem to have strong support options but I think the guardian will appeal most to me. My first main was a monk but my second was a warrior as I moved into Nightfall and beyond. I played both with an aim at defending my party in one way or another and hope that the guardian will fill that role with the right combination of skills. My monk used healing skills but the build ran very much like a protection build by spreading around enchantments that would counter damage or degen. My warrior took shouts for aiding the party as well as taking a couple interrupts that seemed to help me pull mobs attention to me. I was very happy with it in the convention demos but I was mostly alone so won't be sure about the party support role until I can play with other people I know.
